ABOUT PORT PICTON HOMES

Take a closer look at Port Picton Homes: the company, our new build communities, and our commitment to build quality residential homes and commercial real estate across the Prince Edward County region.

Port Picton Homes' head office is in Picton, Ontario in Prince Edward County. Picton is a town steeped in Loyalist history with a famous cast of characters who have lived here over the years - and many who still do so today.

Port Picton Homes is owned and operated by David and Nancy Cleave and their two daughters Kathryn and Elyse. The Cleaves firmly believe in the power of a strong town centre and have tried to lead by personal example. Many Picton landmark buildings have been renovated and restored by, and are still owned by the Cleave family. They are deeply rooted to the County and its history, and believe an important part of that County “je ne sais quoi” is the local architecture. They think housing development, architecture and building is a form of art – not art that you hang on your wall, but art you live in and enjoy.

They are also committed to their social bottom line and environmental footprint. They provide affordable housing: homes for purchase or rent-to-own, rental homes and apartments, and to help the environment they’ve installed geothermal systems and megawatts of solar.

Port Picton Homes is a 15-year Tarion certified builder with a perfect record. The group of affiliated companies have expertise in design, construction technology, residential and commercial building, property management, and historic buildings renovation.

Enjoy this artist's mecca with its vibrant performing arts contingent, great food, award-winning wineries and breweries, golfing, fishing, birding, sailing and Ontario's most beautiful beaches.

Prince Edward County is fondly known as "The County" by residents and visitors. It boasts a unique island character with a dynamic and diverse economy – from traditional agriculture with a burgeoning wine and beer industry, to film-making and information technology.

Prince Edward County is located in Ontario's "golden triangle" – nestled conveniently between Toronto and Ottawa.

There are many places called paradise, but when you arrive in Prince Edward County it is like stepping into an artist's canvas.

The County has a long and colourful history and was settled by the United Empire Loyalists in the 1780's - with Barley Barons, Rum-Runners, Pirates and shipwrecks. Our majestic court house, and infamous twin gallows, was where the esteemed Sir. John A. MacDonald first practiced law.

Picton has a population of approximately 4500, but boasts big town amenities. It's a mecca for artists, cultural events and has an unbelievable complement of world-class restaurants. You will find friendly small town stores and country attitudes here.

Discover our charm and enjoy our convenient location two hours either way to Toronto or Ottawa.
